May 25th Weekend

We have had quite the delicious weekend spent lounging and watching films. Highlights include:

Saturday morning trip to farmer’s market where I bought lettuce, sprouts, cucumbers, carrots, broccoli, blackberries and plums. This morning I made an extra strong batch of french press coffee and enjoyed said blackberries atop buttered bread… nothing better.

Little runs and yoga class.

Watching Steel Magnolias for the first time and crying my eyes out.

Going to Book People and reading magazines while the Cuban cafe barista made us smile. Any time someone asked if they could have a certain drink he would joyfully burst, “By God, of course!”

Purchasing Julia Child’s Book My Life in France and not being able to put it down.

Dreaming up what we want to do for our 1 year anniversary which is swiftly approaching.

Dancing with my cute husband… We aren’t always the most romantic pair (too goofy for such things) but at one point a lovely song came on and my heart nearly stopped as we slow danced in our living room without a word spoken. Just my little head resting against his chest as we swayed back and forth. See we can be romantic SOMEtimes :)

Going to Delish bakery and getting the best cupcakes in Austin! Seriously BEST CUPCAKES IN AUSTIN.

Today we will go stand up paddle boarding and enjoy a scrumptious late lunch with margaritas I hope!

Sunday Evening.

We had a really good weekend.

Parks and Rec. marathons, standup paddle boarding for the first time, watching Matt fall off his board when he was trying to shake his head to get water out of his ear, burgers, Indian food, milk and cookies, INTERMEDIATE hip hop!, prayer time with friends I don’t get to see enough, yoga with LeighLeigh.

There is more stuff but unfortunately I feel weird and sickly. My lymph nodes are swollen.
